Licence grant

Subject to payment, you are granted a non-exclusive, non-transferable, perpetual licence to install and use MIDIpad for your own purposes. One licence key may be activated on up to two machines at a time; deactivating a machine from within the app frees that slot for another. Activation requires a valid licence key.

MIDIpad is also free to download and use in Demo Mode indefinitely, with no licence and no time limit.

Updates

Updates to MIDIpad are included at no further cost for as long as we publish them. This is not a promise that any particular feature will be built, and it does not commit us to publishing updates indefinitely; what you have bought keeps working either way.

Restrictions

You may not redistribute MIDIpad, share or resell licence keys, or remove licence enforcement. Nothing in this section limits rights that cannot be excluded under EU law, including decompilation for interoperability under Directive 2009/24/EC.

Refunds

Purchases are made through Polar Software Inc. as merchant of record; Polar is the seller and its refund policy and statutory withdrawal handling apply: polar.sh/legal/terms.

Warranty and liability

We are liable without limitation for damage caused intentionally or by gross negligence, for injury to life, body or health, and where liability is mandatory under the Produkthaftungsgesetz.

For slight negligence we are liable only where an obligation has been breached whose fulfilment is essential to the proper performance of this agreement and on whose observance you may routinely rely, and in that case only for foreseeable damage typical of this kind of agreement. Any further liability is excluded.

Your statutory rights against the seller in respect of the purchase itself are unaffected and are handled by Polar as merchant of record.

Governing law

This agreement is governed by German law. If you are a consumer, the mandatory consumer protections of your country of residence remain unaffected.
